Upgrade your performance

Australian freediving champion Jack Hatfield offers high-performance training to swimmers and watersports athletes using apnea and breath work techniques. Apnea is the practice of holding one's breath underwater for extended periods, and it can help athletes develop greater lung capacity, breath control, and mental focus required for high stress activities.

Our training focuses on building the foundational skills necessary for success in watersports, including developing the ability to hold one's breath for longer periods, controlling breathing and heart rate, training fast recoveries and staying calm and focused under pressure.

Athletes who train with ocean instinct will learn specific techniques for increasing their breath-hold times, such as diaphragmatic breathing and CO2 tolerance exercises. They will also receive guidance on proper breathing technique during swimming or other watersports activities, as well as mental training techniques for staying focused and confident in high-pressure situations.

We also provide advice on how to do these activities at the highest standard of safety so that coaches can apply the drills to their athletes regular routines correctly.

Our training is tailored to the specific needs and goals of each athlete, and we works closely with clients to design customised training plans that will help them achieve their maximum potential. Whether an athlete is looking to improve their performance in competitive swimming, surf sports or other high intensity athletics we strive to get the most out of their athletic potential.
